Build and fly rubber band powered airplanes. Learn basic flying techniques. Balsa wood and tissue paper construction is needed. Welcome to daily fun for your special Tiny Tot! This program is an excellent way to socialize your child with other children their own age. The program will run daily (Monday-Friday) from 9:30-10:15am at Hollywood Recreation Center.

Freedom of Choice! The Tiny Tots 10-Punch Pass allows you to attend up to 10 visits. Once you use one, you can purchase another pass to enjoy as much or as little as your schedule allows! The pass may be purchased online or at the Recreation & Parks main office in Leonardtown. Passes can be claimed when you arrive for your first class.

DAILY THEMES:
*Open Gym Mondays & Fridays: Children will participate in gross motor activities, parachute games and free play inside our large gym space.

*Messes & Masterpieces Tuesdays: Enjoy a fun-filled exploration of colors, textures, paints, glitter and of course imagination!

*Make It or Bake It Wednesdays: Children will help make or bake a tasty snack!

*Sensory Exploration Thursdays: Young children use sensory play to learn about the world. Children will use their sense of taste, sight, hearing, smell and touch.

Pre-Concussion Program - 340104

The Medically Oriented Gym can offer pre-concussion testing through the MOCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) test. We use the test to create a baseline number. Should the child experience a concussion, after medical clearance, we can re-test again and determine the next course of action. We will be testing memory, attention, abstraction, recall, and orientation.

The first part of the class will incorporate yoga poses, games, stories, breathing exercises and self-calming techniques in a supportive and non-competitive atmosphere. Students will have the opportunity to understand the art and techniques of dance in a child-centered atmosphere of fun and purpose. Young dancers will increase their strength, coordination, balance, rhythm, awareness and flexibility. Dress: Any comfortable clothing that allows full range of movement may be worn; leotards, tights, leggings, sweatpants, etc. Barefoot recommended.

Step into an in adult jazz class for adults who want to move! This class will focus on warming up your muscles, proper stretching, and progress on to moving across the floor, and learning short combinations in jazz. This class is designed to help increase strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Previous dance experience is not required. Dress: Any comfortable clothing that allows full range of movement maybe worn; sweatpants, leggings, long shorts etc.
